Goodwood Revival Meeting

Cancelled Due to Coronvirus (Covid-19) - 2021 Date TBC

Recreating the romance and glamour of motor racing as it used to be, the Motor Circuit comes alive for Revival, both on and off the historic track.

The Goodwood Motor Circuit began life as a wartime airfield and played a major part in the Battle of Britain. At the end of the Second World War, the airfield’s perimeter track became the racing circuit that we know today. Thanks to the ninth Duke of Richmond’s passion for motorsport, Goodwood was the scene of many great race meetings and played host to some of the greatest and most famous drivers of all time before it closed in1966.

On the 18th September 1998, over 50 years to the day of its original opening, the Earl of March reopened the circuit with a three-day event now known as the Goodwood Revival.

This has since become not only the most important and celebrated historic motor race meeting in the world but is also the only major sporting event to take place completely in a period theme – it is an extraordinary and magical step back intime.
